League leaders Bayern Munich will be seeking to get revenge on Hoffenheim for their matchday two loss when the two sides square off on Saturday, January 30th.

Preview: Bayern vs Hoffenheim

After a slight hiccup following their loss to Gladbach, Bayern have been full steam ahead, with three recent wins helping die Roten open up a seven point gap over RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen. The Bavarian titans cruised to a comfortable 4-0 win over Schalke, albeit given that they have the worst defense in the division and Bayern the strongest attack, anything else but a win would have been a huge shock for Hansi Flick's men.

Meanwhile, Hoffenheim, who suffered a very embarassing 4-0 loss to relegation-threatened Schalke earlier this month, have since recovered and come into this match unbeaten in their last three games. In addition, Sebastian Hoeneß's side have recorded a trio of clean sheets during this run, and that includes back to back 3-0 wins over Hertha Berlin and Köln. As a result, the visitors, who sit in 11th spot, have built a relatively seven-point cushion between themselves and the bottom three sides. Yet, despite this improvement in form, they will arrive at the Allianz Arena dealing with a huge injury crisis.

Hoffenheim notably beat Bayern 4-1 in one of the most shocking results so far this season, but the same team were beaten 4-0 by Schalke with young American striker Matthew Hoppe making headlines by scoring all four goals. However, they have been given a boost with Croatian striker Andrej Kramaric's recovery from COVID-19 as he has scored four goals in his last two games to bring his total to 12 for the season and 74 overall in his Hoffenheim career.

Kramaric netted a brace the last time the two sides met, and naturally will be looking to add more to his total. He won't be the only one - regular Torjägerkanone winner Robert Lewandowski has already racked up 23 goals as he again attempts to break Gerd Muller's 49-year record of 40 goals in one campaign and naturally will seek to inch ever so closer to breaking that record with a goal or two on Saturday.

Team news: Bayern vs Hoffenheim

Bayern: Tanguy Nianzou remains out for the long-term as he continues his recovery from a thigh injury, while Corentin Tolisso is struggling with muscular problems.

Hoffenheim: Hoeneß has been hit with a major injury crisis, making his team's upcoming task more difficult. Skipper Benjamin Hübner (ankle), Ryan Sessegnon (thigh), Kostas Stafylidis (shoulder), Kevin Akpoguma (hamstring), Dennis Geiger (hamstring), and Ermin Bicakcic (knee) are all out, while there are doubts surrounding the availability of Robert Skov (muscular issues), Kevin Vogt (shoulder), and Florian Grillitsch (abdominal injury).
