Ancelotti 100% Focused On Chelsea vs West Ham As EPL Title Race’s Not Over

The Italian manager is wary of Manchester United’s dominance in the race for the English Premier League title, but he still believes in the Blues’ chance to retain their domestic crown. Chelsea are on a good run in the EPL and their last defeat takes us back to February 6 when they lost 1-0 to Liverpool. Since then, they have recorded 6 vital victories in 8 matches.

“We are the in-form team in the Premier League right now,” Ancelotti told The Sun.

“We have started to play well again. Our important players are all fit and in good form. But we also have to be honest. The title is in the hands of Manchester United.

“I’d prefer to be in their position. They are 6 points ahead of us. If they don't lose control, then they’ll be champions. But we have a chance to catch them... and so do Arsenal.

“Maybe Arsenal have a better chance than us [to upset the Red Devils] because they play Manchester United at home and we must play them at Old Trafford. But we can’t afford to look that far ahead.

“We must focus on beating West Ham and preparing the team for this match only. West Ham need the points to stay up and they’ll give more than 100 per cent to get a result against us. So we have to be ready for this.”

Manchester United’s closest rivals Chelsea will be at home to West Ham United in Saturday’s late kick off. The Hammers are in an agonizing position indeed, being 19th in the English Premier League table. They have 32 points like 20th placed Wolverhampton Wanderers who have a game in hand.
