After a comfortable win over Porto on matchday one, Manchester City will look to extend their lead as they travel to face Marseille on matchday two.

Preview: Olympique Marseille vs Manchester City

After a disappointing 1-0 loss to Olympiakos on matchday one, Marseille will be desperate for a turnaround when they host Pep Guardiola's Manchester City, who will be coming to town having cruised to a 3-1 win over Porto. Andre Villa-Boas's men, however, are unbeaten in their last five Ligue 1 games, and come into this match having beaten Lorient 1-0 and sit in fourth spot, three point behind current league leaders PSG.

Meanwhile, City have had a poor start to the season, and actually sit in the bottom half of the table with just two wins from their last five games. Although the Sky Blues failed to impress during a disappointing one-all draw with West Ham, they sit top of their quartet thanks to their 3-1 win over Porto on matchday one.

This will be the first ever match between the two sides. Marseille's form in this competition has been poor - in fact, they've lost their last ten matches - while City have lost just one of their last 11.

Team news: Olympique Marseille vs Manchester City

Marseille: No injuries or suspension concerns for the hosts.

City: By contrast, the visitors still have quite a few players out. Key striker Sergio Aguero is set for another spell on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury over the weekend. Fellow striker Gabriel Jesus is also out, while Benjamin Mendy's injury woes have returned. Nathan Ake is still struggling with a groin problem, and Kyle Walker still seems to be battling muscular issues so will have to be evaulated prior to this game.
