A Canarinha kicked off their run for a World Cup berth with a bang, and their clash against Peru could very well be one of the best in this phase of the competition.

CONMEBOL's World Cup Qualifiers are already underway, and before the International break ends, there will be one more match fo each South American side in their quest to play in the tournament that will be held in 2022.

The national teams of Perú and Brazil will put an end to their international activity this month at the Peruvian city of Lima, in what should turn out to be quite an entertaining game. Perú's recent home games have given fans quite a few moments to remember, while Brazil's amazing firepower promises to keep fans on the edge of their seats.

Brazil kicked off their World Cup Qualifying campaign in flying colors with an emphatic 5-0 win against Bolivia. One day earlier, Perú came from behind to rescue a 2-2 draw away from home against Paraguay, which shows just how feisty this team can be. After these scores, Brazil leads the CONMEBOL Qualifiers thanks to their impressive display in front of goal, while Perú is currently ranked sixth after playing a role in the only game held on Matchday 1 to end with a draw.

Both teams will be able to field their best possible lineups, although there will be some high-profile absences on Tuesday's match. The most relevant absence for Perú will be none other than legendary captain Paolo Guerrero, who may see the end of 2020 without stepping on a football pitch. Another notable absence will be that of Edison Flores, but unlike Guerrero, the player's club refused to let Flores join his teammates.

As for Brazil, the top players left out by Tite include goalkeeper Alisson Becker, right back Dani Alves, Arsenal midfielder Willian, and Real Madrid wingers Rodrygo and Vinicius. The good news for Tite and his crew is that midfielder Bruno Guimaraes and striker Matheus Cunha could make their debut with the five-time FIFA World Cup champions.
