Jose Mourinho has chosen his best squad for tonight’s Real Madrid vs Barcelona match in La Liga – commonly known as El Clasico. Cristiano Ronaldo leads the front line...
With Karim Benzema returning to the squad after missing Real Madrid’s last few games, it remains to be seen which striker will partner Cristiano Ronaldo in attack. Emmanuel Adebayor and Higuain complete the 19-man squad’s forwards section.

There are no surprises in midfield, though, with Xabi Alonso, Khedira and Özil named alongside Kaka and Angel di Maria. However, Pedro Leon and Sergio Canales have been dropped by Mourinho based on coaching assessments.

The absentees are Lassana Diarra and Fernando Gago – this duo is injured. Granero, meanwhile, is suspended.

Ricardo Carvalho will have the chance to get over the Champions League semi-final suspension he received against Tottenham Hotspur in midweek. The Portuguese defender has been called up among Real Madrid’s regular defensive players. About Real Madrid's team for El Clasico, assistant coach Karanka stated on Friday during a press conference:

“We are going to use the best line up to win the match [against Barcelona] and to keep our options of winning La Liga alive.

“The thing that matters most right now are the three points at stake. We will try our best to take them from the start of the game.”

The pressure will be on Real Madrid’s starting XI to perform, while substitutes will be keen to play a big role as well. Live Soccer TV shares with you Jose Mourinho’s 19-man squad for El Clasico – Real Madrid vs Barcelona:
