Despite next Wednesday’s Barcelona vs Real Madrid Copa del Rey final, Zubizarreta has insisted that Barca intend to approach this weekend’s (arguably less important match) El Clasio with style.

Zubizarreta is expecting Barca to show Madrid what they are made of during El Clasico.Barcelona have treated the past 5 Clasicos in a distinctive manner at the delight of their fans. Meanwhile, Real Madrid must go all the way back to the 2007/2008 La Liga season to savour their last victory over Barcelona up to date. Now Barcelona’s sporting director, Andoni Zubizarreta, is hoping for the Catalans to maintain their recent trend against Real Madrid since the appointment of Pep Guardiola almost 3 years ago.

“We know our targets, and we must give everything to achieve them. We will show off our brand of football and the nature of our soul [against Real Madrid].

“They are a great team and they have a so much potential at all levels. We will play our next match with respect for them, but we will be at the Santiago Bernabeu to play football.”

Football fans are curious to see how Jose Mourinho will order his men to approach El Clasico on Saturday since La Liga title is likely to land at the Camp Nou again, anyways. Being 8 points behind Barcelona after 31 match-days, Los Blancos’ chances of being crowned league champions don’t look very bright.

However, it will be important for Jose Mourinho and his team to maintain their momentum ahead of the Copa del Rey final on Wednesday. So how will Real Madrid go about El Clasico this weekend? Will they allow Barcelona to have the breathing space required and thus suffer their second home defeat in two home matches?

After Real Madrid vs Barcelona this weekend, the attention will turn on Wednesday's Barcelona vs Real Madrid 2011 Copa del Rey final before both sides meet again in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League. Get live coverage of all these matches on Live Soccer TV!
