Maurizio Sarri's men will aim to keep the momentum to clinch the Serie A title going when they welcome Lecce on Friday.

Match Preview

Juventus are aiming to extend their lead for the Scudetto and will aim at securing another lowly-placed Lecce come to the Allianz Stadium on Friday. The Bianconeri currently seats atop the Serie A table but are far from safe with second-placed Lazio heavily breathing down on their necks.

The restoration of the season is yet to bring good fortunes to the Old Lady with the side recording one win, one draw, and one defeat across all competitions. The one victory which came against Bologna in a Serie A encounter, however, should serve as enough motivation for Maurizio Sarri's men ahead of Friday's crucial tie.

Over the course of the last 10 matches, Juventus have been uncharacteristically average, winning just five matches while losing three of the remaining five games. This includes the disappointing defeat to Napoli in the final of the Coppa Italia.

Needless to say, a home defeat to Lecce could put the Scudetto dream at risk as the defending champions remain just four points above Lazio. The opponent they face on Matchday 28 are religiously expecting a miracle to ensure with their chances of surviving relegation now marginal.

After enjoying an impressive run of form which saw Fabio Liverani's men win successive games against Toroni, Napoli and SPAL, they have lost all three most recent matches. In the grand scheme of things, Lecce have lost six of their last 10 outings, winning three and drawing one. They have conceded 15 goals in their last three outings alone while scoring just three.

As to whether or not the Via del Mare outfit can hold Juventus like it did in the 1-1 reverse encounter remains to be seen.

Team news

Juventus will approach Friday's fixture with none of their first choice fullbacks options available. Both Mattia De Sciglio and Alex Sandro are injured, while Danilo is serving a suspension for the red card that he picked up against Bologna. Sami Khedira, Gonzalo Higuain and Merih Demiral are all unavailable through injury.

For Lecce, Gialuca Lapadula faces a late fitness test in order to stand a chance making the matchday squad list. Diego Farias, Alessandro Deiola, Antonin Barak and Cristian Dell'Orco are out of contention.

Potential starting line-up
