As the weekend approaches, another round of Bundesliga fixtures is set to get underway. Although the K-League in Asia has been in full swing, many European leagues have not been in full force - that is, until now. However, other European leagues have begun to get up and running, including the Primeira Liga, Italy's Coppa Italia, and now the Turkish Super Lig has joined the action as well as many countries hope to try to get back on track after seeing life disrupted due to COVID-19.
In any case, the Bundesliga now looks to be taking shape after now being in action for nearly a month, and here's what you need to know ahead of the upcoming round of fixtures that will start this Friday, June 12th.
Match of the weekend: Hoffenheim-RB Leipzig
There are three teams battling for two Champions League spots at the moment: Leipzig, Borussia Moenchengladbach, and Bayer Leverkusen. Leipzig will be in action first as they take on Hoffenheim away from home, and it will be a very interesting reunion for current Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann. Die Bullen, who have drawn three of their last five games, will again have to make do without defender Dayot Upamecano due to a ban and will be desperate to get back to winning ways after dropping points in a shock stalemate against relegation candidates Paderborn.
In fact, that result was the first time Leipzig had failed to beat Paderborn, and Timo Werner, who has been linked with a move to the Premier League again looked to be a frustrated figure as he was played out of his preferred position to accomodate Patrik Schick.
Meanwhile, Hoffenheim are unbeaten in their last four games ahead of this clash but are in total disarray after sacking coach Alfred Schreuder. It's quite shocking, really, as they come into this game not in terrible form, and in fact have responded well following their 3-0 loss to Hertha Berlin in their first game back following the COVID-19 induced pause, but clearly the club's board were not happy with proceedings and now Marcel Rapp has been appointed to take over as of June 9th.

Talking points ahead of matchday 31
Bayern will be facing Borussia Moenchengladbach without top goalscorer and top assist-maker...can Gladbach take advantage?
Two notable absentees for league leaders Bayern Munich this weekend will be none other than Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Müller. Both men are suspended for the team's upcoming clash with Borussia Moenchengladbach, and both just so happen to be Bayern's top goalscorer and top assist-provider respectively.
While Bayern have more than enough talent in their ranks to make up for the duo's absence, it will be very interesting to see if Gladbach can use this to their advantage. Die Roten are unbeaten so far in 2020, and with the two stars out, Bayern's starting XI just doesn't look as threatening as it usually does. In addition, this suspension unfortunately means one less game and a missed opportunity for Lewandowski to add to his goal tally as he hopes to beat Gerd Müller's record.
How can Naglesmann get the best out of Timo Werner without totally ignoring Roma loanee Patrik Schick?
It's quite obvious that Werner has had his ups and downs this season, and part of it is clearly having to be played in a different position to accomodate Roma loanee Patrik Schick. This was clear during the team's 1-1 draw with Paderborn, and it cost them two valuable points. It happened again during their 2-2 draw with Hertha Berlin as well. By contrast, Werner enjoyed his central attacker spot against Mainz and scored a hat-trick as he ended his eight goal drought - but during that game Schick was left on the bench.
Leipzig did pay a pretty penny to bring in Czech international Schick on loan, so obviously they do have to get him involved as well, and he has contributed ten goals and two assists so far - which is a solid output that no one can argue against. The key thing then is for Naglesmann to really figure out a way to use both players to the best of their abilities - and so far he hasn't been able to do this. As a result, Leipzig have dropped valuable points against opponents they shouldn't lose to, which has ended any chances of a title challenge, and now they find themselves desperately hanging on to a top four spot despite the strength of attacking talent at their disposal.
