The league leaders will be defending their top spot -and their unbeaten streak- against Boavista away from home. Find out more with this guide!

The 2019-20 Primeira Liga season is picking up a good pace, with Benfica holding on to the top spot thanks to a massive winning streak.

The league leaders will lock horns with Boavista this weekend, putting their impressive winning run in jeopardy. Boavista is currently fifth in the Portugues eleague, and one win here could help them make the top four.

Elsewhere, second-placed Porto will play a late Sunday clash against Belenenses, with their sights set on topping Benfica if they can't get all the points on Friday. The Dragons have been able to overcome some disciplinary issues to keep themselves in contention to win the league, and their three-game winning streak speaks volumes of Sergio Conceicao's commitment to the club.

Famalicao's fairy tale continues in the Portuguese top-flight, and facing Tondela should not represent a problem for this club. The league minnows are third, seven points behind Porto.

Here's all you need to know before Matchday 13's first game kicks off this Friday,

Quotes ahead of Matchday 13

Porto's coach Sergio Conceicao spoke about using two players that were under a disciplinary review by the team. Matheus Uribe and Renzo Saravi played for the team against Casa Pia in a cup game on Thursday, but that doesn't mean that both men will be considered for the league clash this weekend.

"It was dealt with as soon as the international break ended. They are part of the team, they had a positive reaction after their time out, but the other players did well, so, there are no guarantees for any of our players. They have to work and respect those who are playing regularly and step up when they are needed, the coach stated.
