Juventus come into this game having secured their spot in the round of 16 thanks to a brilliant free-kick from Paulo Dybala against Atletico Madrid. So far, the Bianconeri have yet to lose a single game across all competitions and although they are still adjusting to Maurizio Sarri's style, they are nonetheless top of Serie A and Sarri has been able to get players like Gonzalo Higuain and Dybala back on track. One area, however, where he has yet to find a real solution is concerning superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who has not been as dominant for the Italian champions this season as he was under Massimiliano Allegri; in fact, the 34-year-old Portuguese ace has netted just five league goals this campaign, which puts him well behind in the race for the Capocannoniere.

However, Sarri has shown he's not afraid to sub the five-time Ballon d'Or winner off, nor leave him out entirely, as he did against Atalanta, and it will be very interesting to see who he fields in his starting XI this time around. It's likely he will mix things up given the lack of strength of their upcoming opponents. Sassuolo, who once were that bogey team for many of Serie A's bigger sides, have lost much of their punch lately and have been dealt a huge blow due to the absence of star man Domenico Berardi as a result of injury. As such, they find themselves barely hovering above the drop zone and more concerning for the visitors is the fact that they have lost all of their last six past visits to Turin - which does not bode well in their favor, to say the least.
