Chelsea will look to take advantage of their strong historical record against West Ham as they lock horns in the London Derby on Saturday, November 30th.

Preview: Chelsea vs West Ham

Having had to settle for a two-all draw against Valencia in the Champions League after throwing away a 2-1 advantage, Chelsea will now have to turn their attention back to domestic affairs as they take on West Ham. They've gone 13 Premier League home games sans defeat versus the Hammers (14 across all comps) so on paper this will represent a great chance for Frank Lampard's side to get back on track after losing 2-1 to Manchester City last weekend.

West Ham are barely hanging on to 17th spot and are narrowly hovering just outside the drop zone. They have a slew of key players out injured, including Jack Wilshere and first-choice goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski. To complicate matters, not only are the Hammers winless in their last seven leageu fixtures, but they have not beaten Chelsea since September 2002. They have also historically struggled in London Derbies, with 99 defeats so far - more than any other side - and are danger of hitting a much unwanted historic century of losses this weekend.

Chelsea have been dealt a slight blow due to the absence of young striker Tammy Abraham as a result of a hip injury. The English under-21 international has been simply oustanding in his first senior season under Lampard's tenure, but his absence means that Michy Batshuayi could be given a rare chance to start from the outset.
