Preview: Watford vs Chelsea

Although they have managed to stem some of the damage by drawing their last three games, they're still rooted to the bottom of the table, and will be welcoming a Chelsea side that continues to grow in confidence with each passing match.
Although the Blues were dealt a setback by seeing their winning streak snapped by Manchester United following their midweek loss in the League Cup, Frank Lampard's young team certainly will not let that blip knock the wind out of their sails. Right now, Chelsea are in fourth spot, on a four-match winning streak in the Premier League, and impressively, just two points behind reigning champions Manchester City who sit in second place.
Given that Chelsea have lost just one of their last 11 Premier League meetings with Watford, they are definitely looking like the major favorites here. However, Watford are playing at home, where they have managed to grind out gritty draws lately as they desperately battle for points. Furthermore, they will be even more desperate to avoid suffering a heavy defeat in front of their own fans, despite missing quite a few key players due to injuries. Still, Chelsea are on a very impressive six-match winning run away from Stamford Bridge, and although Watford won't make it easy, the Blues should be able to do enough to recover from their midweek setback and pick up all three points against the struggling Hornets.

Chelsea: Antonio Rudiger is still out as he battles back to fitness following a pelvic injury. Meanwhile,
N'Golo Kante is still continuing his recovery from a groin injury, while Ross Barkley and Andreas Christensen are not likely to feature here. Ruben Loftus-Cheek is a definite absentee.
