After a turbulent weekend, Mexican top-flight officers will be hoping that all the talk comes from what happens during the course of the games.

Matchday 15 in the Apertura 2019 tournament has one clear mission: to try and make fans forget about all the turmoil caused by team protests and off-the-pitch incidents among fans.

Santos will once again defend their status as league leaders when they face Morelia, a game that looks easier than it could be in reality for the green and white side. Second-placed Necaxa will also have to work away from home to keep their spot when they visit Atlas, in what should be quite an entertaining game that could have playoff consequences for both sides.

Querétaro will try to forget about the fine caused by their incident at San Luis when they host Pumas. Vucetich's men could leapfrog Santos and Necaxa again if neither one of those teams can't win on Friday. On the other side of the pitch, Pumas' playoff hopes could end if things don't go their way.

Matchday 15 will begin with three games being played on Friday, while Saturday will be quite packed with four games. The weekend will come to an end when Guadalajara makes the trip to Juárez, where they will lock horns against one of the recently promoted teams. Monterrey will be given a bye this week due to the odd number of teams playing in the Mexican top-flight.

Without further ado, let's see what Liga MX's Matchday 15 has to offer for fans watching around the world.

Morelia vs Santos Laguna

The yellow and red side can be labeled as a tough nut to crack. Their recent results show their improvement, and their win against Cruz Azul last week keeps them in contention for a playoff spot. Morelia will try to defend their eighth spot in the Mexican top-flight against the league leader Santos, a team that's desperate to extend their lead at the top, but saying it will be easier than getting it done.

Tigres UANL vs Cruz Azul

It was all sunshine and rainbows after Cruz Azul's emphatic win against América before the international break, but losing against Morelia ended their "party". Now, "La Máquina" needs to win all of their games to keep their playoff hopes alive, but if Tigres was capable of scoring two goals against a team that was protesting for unpaid wages, all they can do is try and make the most out of their chances come Saturday.
