Australia will look to book their spot in the quarter-finals for the fourth straight tournament, but first the Matildas will have to find a way past Norway. Live Soccer TV's match preview provides match facts, team news, and global broadcast lisitngs for Norway vs. Australia.

Current form: Norway vs Australia

Despite losing their two pre-World Cup friendlies to the United States and the Netherlands (5-3 and 3-0 respectively), as well as their group stage opener, Australia have hit top form at just the right time. The Matildas come into this game having won their last two matches against Brazil and Jamaica, and will be hoping that their excellent attack will be enough to break down Norway's stubborn defense.

Norway may have scored six goals so far, but two of them were own goals. The other two were via penalties, meaning that their players have scored just twice from open play. But that really does not matter, as far as their fans are concerned, because the Grasshoppers did enough to secure a runners-up spot in Group A after picking up all six points at the expense of Nigeria and South Korea.

How they got to this juncture: Norway vs Australia

Norway kicked their group stage campaign off with a comfortable 3-0 win over Nigeria, during which the Scandinavians were already three goals to the good by the end of the first half. Although they lost 2-1 to hosts France, they rebounded with a 2-1 victory over struggling South Korea to wrap up Group A as the second-best team in their quartet.

Meanwhile, Australia have been quite excellent so far in France. Although the Matildas were bitterly disappointed to lose 2-1 to Italy, especially after they had gone 1-0 up against the Azzurre, Ante Milicic's side pulled off a fantastic comeback on matchday two. Brazil thought they had sealed all three points after scoring twice inside the first 40 minutes, only to have the Matildas half the deficit just before half-time.

That was exactly what Australia needed to start their ascendancy, and they grabbed two goals - including an own goal by Brazil - without reply in the second period to turn a 2-0 deficit into a 3-2 win to pick up their first three points of their World Cup campaign. Finally, on matchday three, Milicic's squad turned it up when it really mattered, with Sam Kerr making history as the first Australian player to score a poker in a World Cup match as they blitzed debutants Jamaica 4-1.
