The Norwegian boss tried to boost his team's confidence ahead of the crucial Champions League meeting against Los Blaugranas.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seems to be quite confident about his team's chances of eliminating Barcelona, even if some believe that the Red Devils must be considered as the underdog when they face Los Blaugranas.

Speaking in the pre-match presser, the Norwegian boss admitted the difficulty of planning a game where Lionel Messi will be involved.

"He's amazing, one of the best of all-time. He's hard to stop, but not impossible. The main thing is not to overlook all of their other great players, since they have quite a few," Solskjaer stated.

Apparently, playing against Barcelona does not make Solskjaer nervous, especially after watching them live last Saturday.

"Messi is great, but there's also Coutinho and Suárez. What plan can come up with when you're facing one of the best players in history? All we can do is keep our focus. We must also avoid fouls near the box, those are chances that we can't afford giving to Messi,"the Norwegian coach added.

Solskjaer's motivation ahead of this game comes after watching his players react to the draw.

"We were all watching the draw together, and when we were paired up against Barcelona, all of my players smiled. We know we can put up a fight against the best players," Solskjaer said.

The Nordic tactician concluded by admitting that Sir Alex Ferguson helped him prepare this game, even though they did not discuss any tactics ahead of the clash.
