Live Soccer TV's match preview provides match facts, team news, and global broadcast listings for France's first home EURO 2020 qualifying match against Iceland.

Current form: France vs Iceland

After cruising to a comfortable victory over Moldova, France will now turn their attention towards Iceland. Les Bleus indeed have been blessed with a very easy group, with teams like Albania and Andorra also coming up next for Didier Deschamps's side, and they will certainly look to build up a comfortable lead by taking advantage of an Iceland side who have lost some of their fairy-tale glitter in recent times.

It was not too long ago that Iceland had burst onto the scene and were dazzling everyone with their impressive performances, culmunating with their takedown of England at the EURO 2016 tournament. However, it seems like the tiny Nordic nation has since then run out of steam. They were eliminated at the group stages in their first ever World Cup this past summer despite managing a draw against Argentina, and finished dead last in their UEFA Nations League trio, thus suffering a frustrating relegation to League B.

That being said, Iceland do come into this game having picked up a 2-0 win over Andorra, but given how lopsided Group H is, a clear gap is going to form between the sides, with Turkey also beating minnows Albania. With Turkey being the heavy favorites to pick up all three points against Moldova and Andorra and Albania going head to head in a desperate scrap for points, France certainly will look to make it two wins out of two qualifying games as they are the major heavyweights in a comfortable group.

Still, new coach Erik Hamren has turned things around for Iceland. They are unbeaten in their last three games and picked up their first win in their last 17 matches when they beat Andorra. And last year, they managed to pull off a surprise 2-2 draw against France after being down 2-0 for much of the game, so despite being the major underdogs here, Iceland will still have some hopes of trying to secure a point.
