Team News: Who is injured or suspended for Belgium vs Russia?

Belgium will be without star striker Romelu Lukaku when it welcomes Russia for Thursday's EURO 2020 qualifier. The Red Devils' boss Roberto Martinez confirmed that the Manchester United forward is carrying a foot injury in his press conference on Tuesday.

However, the ex-Everton manager did not rule the 25-year-old out of Sunday's encounter with Cyprus. Mousa Dembele and Thomas Meunier have also withdrawn from the squad as a result of injuries.

For Russia, Ilya Kutepov and Roman Zobnin have both been ruled out of action with a groin injury and broken hand, respectively.

What is the form of Belgium in contrast to Russia's?

Belgium enters the upcoming encounter with Russia on the back of a 5-2 defeat to Switzerland in its last outing. The outcome of the fixture denied the Red Devils to finish atop their UEFA Nations League group despite tying on point with the Swiss.

The defeat was Roberto Martinez's men first since losing to France in the semi-finals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Over the course of the last 10 matches, they have won seven, drawn one and lost two.

Russia, on the other hand, will envy Belgium's record considering it failed to get the result in any of its games played during the last international break. The 2018 World Cup hosts lost to Germany and Sweden in succession and will be chasing its first since October last year.

Stanislav Cherchesov's side has won five of its last 10 matches and has been on the losing end on four occasions.
