The Reds' current deal with American manufacturer New Balance expires by the end of the 2019-20 campaign.

Liverpool managing directo Billy Hogan is clear about one thing: Liverpool should -and will- get a better kit sponsorship deal soon.

Speaking in an interview with marketing website The Drum, Hogan admitted that the Reds will seek to improve their current kit deal with American manufacturer New Balance, who entered the world of football with the team back in 2015. In order to guarantee an improved deal, Liverpool are also in talks with other unnamed manufacturers who want to provide kits for the EPL sensation.

"We are in conversation with New Balance and we are in conversation with others as well. The kit deal is an incredibly important partnership – not just for the financial support it delivers for the club but also from the distribution standpoint," Hogan said.

Liverpool has become increasingly interested in a new deal since their current kit is the best-selling jersey in team history. In fact, the team's online store is currently out of stock, with a new batch of jerseys expected to arrive later this month.

"When you think about what that means in terms of the reach and the size and the scale, bringing that to a partner, there are very few other properties within sport frankly that can offer that,"the exec added.

The current deal between Liverpool and New Balance will end with the 2019-20 season. If the Reds end up winning the 2018-19 Premier League title, you may expect quite a tug of war between sponsors to dress Klopp's men.

As of now, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City have more lucrative deals than the one the Reds own. Only time will tell which company will land such an interesting team in marketing terms.
