The Brazilian, who is injured for the Champions League round of 16, is being linked with the Premier League giant.

Man United is gearing up to face PSG in the Champions League later today,  and while Neymar will play no part in this highly-anticipated fixture, the Brazilian is in the headlines in the build-up to the first leg nonetheless.

According to Diario Gol, the Red Devils have held "secret" talks with the player's father over an ambitious transfer. The Selecao ace has been linked with an array of clubs and is reportedly said to have made his mind on leaving.

The article claims that this gathering occurred in the last 24 hours and could spoil Real Madrid's pursuit of the 27-year-old. Los Blancos are an admirer of the South American and would benefit heavily from his services given the void left by Cristiano, but their Hazard chase will complicate things for the Spanish giant.

This could play to the Premier League outfit's advantage; however, there was no mention of an agreement or understanding taking place.  Furthermore, given that the player has publicly denied several exit rumors before, the safest bet at the moment will be on him remaining put at the Parc des Princes.

His arrival would be great for the Old Trafford side. Under Solskjaer, things have turned around for the better for Man United. However, the 20-time English top-flight champion will need a few more world-class players if they wish to be a dominant force in Europe once more.
