Wesley Sneijder believes that last night's loss to Bayern Munich was unfair and that Inter Milan deserved to win the game.
In a repeat of last season's Champions League final, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan had their equal share of chances but the Germans stayed positive throughout the match and were rewarded in the last minute when Mario Gomez took advantage of Julio Cesar’s mistake and slotted the ball into the net.

The away goal for the Germans now put Inter in a precarious position and they will have a mountain to climb in Munich when they head there for the second leg in three weeks time. However, Sneijder believes that Inter deserved victory last night and that they have the ability to turn things around in Germany.

"We deserved the victory," he told RAI. "We deserved to win - we played well and created a lot of chances - but the reality is that we lost, even if it's not over yet.

"We all knew they had quality players, especially in attack. We did well - we just lacked goals. In Munich it will be difficult, but it's not over."

Inter Milan will now have to perform to their best level in Munich if they have any hopes of retaining their Champions League crown.
