The Argentine footballer has ended his six-month spell at AC Milan in order to reunite with coach Maurizio Sarri.

At long last, Maurizio Sarri landed the signing of the striker he wanted for Chelsea.

Chelsea's director Marina Granovskaia unveiled striker Gonzalo Higuaín as the team's new Number 9, which will fill a crucial spot in coach Sarri's lineup. Higuain's best form was seen as a Napoli player under the Italian boss, which makes Chelsea fans eager to watch the Argentine in action.

The initial deal sees Higuaín joining Chelsea on loan from Juventus, with a clause in his contract that allows the Blues to extend that loan for one more year. Another clause sees Chelsea paying Juventus an undisclosed fee to make the deal permanent.

Here's how the club revealed Higuain's signing on social media.

Here are Higuain's first words as a Blue, courtesy of the team's website.

"It's a team I've always liked that has a lot of history, a wonderful stadium and they play in the Premier League, a league I've always wanted to play in. I now hope I can give back that trust Chelsea have shown me out on the pitch. I can't wait to start and I hope to adapt as soon as possible," Higuaín said.
