Real Madrid Must “Pour Out Their Guts” To Beat Lyon, Says Adebayor
Real Madrid will affront Olympique Lyon tonight in the UEFA Champions League’s Round of 16. Los Blancos must avoid getting knocked out from that same stage for the 7th year in a row.

Adebayor is wary of Lyon. Madrid would prefer to beat the French at all cost.
The task is huge, but with Jose Mourinho at the head of a team consisting of top players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, the majority of the public has tipped Madrid to triumph on Tuesday. However, loan signing Emmanuel Adebayor prefers to take things very seriously.
The ex-Monaco striker is very familiar with Olympique Lyon and he has asked his Real Madrid team mates to offer a big sacrifice if they want to break their Champions League Last 16 curse.
“Lyon has quality players in their team, and we will have to suffer [to beat them],” Adebayor told AS.
“Although I have only been in Real Madrid for a short time, I know that fighting for the little details will have an enormous influence on the tie.
“We must come back from France with a positive result. We must pour our guts out on the pitch.
“The Champions League is very important to me. I am very happy to return to France. It’s a country that I know very well. Lyon is also a club that I have affection for and that I respect a lot.”
Too much respect from Real Madrid towards Olympique Lyon may be negative for the Spanish giants. They’ve lost their past 3 matches away to the French side in the UEFA Champions League and another defeat will once again dent their chances of qualifying for the quarter-finals of the competition.
