Santiago Solari's side is faced with a huge challenge in the fitness department.

Real Madrid has been hit with two new major injury concerns, the Spanish club confirmed on Monday. Striker Karim Benzema and center back Jesus Vallejo are the newest personnel to head to the treatment table with the struggles of Santiago Solari's men refusing to die down.

Prior to Sunday's victory over Real Betis, a tackle on Karim Benzema saw the Frenchman fracturing his fingers upon hitting the ground. The 31-year-old striker failed to make it out of the dressing room at half-time and was subsequently replaced by youth player Cristo Gonzalez.

With Real Madrid revealing the extent of Benzema's injury, multiple reports from the Spanish media indicates that the former Lyon player may be out of action for not less than three weeks.

"He [Benzema] has been diagnosed with a fracture in the phalanx of the fifth finger in the right hand," Real Madrid's statement on Monday reads.

"The player's situation will continue to be monitored."

Relatively, Jesus Vallejo reportedly picked up a hamstring injury in Monday's training session. According to AS, the young defender left the club's Valdebebas training base in tears.

With Santiago Solari sticking with the center back partnership of Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane, 22-year-old center back has only been given a runout in just two games this season. This is also due to a series of injuries, with the newest one posing to be his fourth already.

Benzema and Vallejo join Toni Kroos, Thibaut Courtois, Marcos Llorente, Marco Asensio and Mariano Diaz as the key squad members currently recovering from injuries.
