Alvaro Morata's days as a Premier League player might be numbered. All he must do is to choose the best option from the two bids involving Spanish teams, according to a report by Goal.com.
The Spanish striker seems to be determined to leave Chelsea this winter, especially since he hasn't been able to adapt to life in England. With that in mind, his agents traveled to Spain in order to present their client with options to continue playing in his home country. Their search was over when Sevilla raised their hands to sign the player on loan.
The player's agents had already struck a deal to see Morata playing for Los Hispalenses, but Sevilla and Chelsea could not agree terms to see the player go out on loan. Then, as Sevilla's interest started to cool down, Atlético Madrid stepped up as a new option for the footballer.
Coach Diego Simeone has praised Morata time and time again, but this time it seems that "El Cholo" will be able to lure the player away to Wanda Metropolitano Stadium. Atlético seems willing to pay Morata's wages and a hefty loan deal, giving them the upper hand over Sevilla.
Morata would return to La Liga just 18 months after joining Chelsea. With the Blues, the Spaniard has scored 21 goals in 60 games, but his form has taken a dip since the start of the 2018-19 campaign. Only time will tell which side wins this battle between two contenders to win La Liga.
