The Croatian defender did not have his best game against Manchester City, having an influence in both of the Citizens' goals.

Liverpool may still be leading the English Premier League, but fans were not ready to forgive -or miss the opportunity to mock- one of the most outspoken Reds' footballer after today's 2-1 win for Manchester City.

That player was none other than Dejan Lovren, who bragged about the team's chances of finishing the 2018-19 season without a loss in the Premier League. Unfortunately for the Croatian, he had a less than flattering performance at the Etihad, as he was crucial for both of the Citizens' goals.

First, Lovren failed to pick up on his marking assignments, as Sergio Aguero strolled past him to give the hosts a 1-0 lead before the halftime whistle. Then, minutes after Liverpool had scored the equalizer, Lovren failed to pick up another marking assignments while trying unsuccessfully to leave Leroy Sané in offside position.
