The Blues joined an elite list in the English Premier League as a result of the Spaniard's strike.

Chelsea joined Manchester United and Arsenal as the third club to score 1000th Premier League goals at home in Sunday's 2-0 win over Fulham. Maurizio Sarri's men started the match on a positive note after last weekend's defeat to Tottenham Hotspur by scoring inside the first four minutes.

A pass from N'Golo Kante found Pedro on the right and the ex-Barcelona winger made no error of the opportunity. Eden Hazard subsequently combined with substitute Ruben Loftus-Cheek to grab Chelsea's second goal of the day in the 82nd minute after Alvaro Morata had squandered a glaring opportunity earlier.

The goal was the English midfielder's fifth in his last six appearances in all competitions despite barely featuring in starting lineups. Loftus-Cheek's strike also meant the Blues' goal tally in the domestic league momentarily stands at 1001. Only Manchester United (1079) and Arsenal (1029) have more than the Stamford Bridge outfit.

Chelsea still ranks third in the English Premier League with 31 points after 14 matches. Manchester City and Liverpool complete the top three with 33 and 38 points respectively.
