Milan come into this game having won back to back game against both Genoa-based clubs. First, the Rossoneri earned a deserved 3-2 win over Sampdoria last weekend, and then the Diavolo picked up a 2-1 result against Genoa midweek. That match was the long-awaited makeup game that was supposed to be played on matchday one, but was abruptly cancelled due to the Ponte Morandi collapse that killed over 40 people in Genoa, and now having played all of their games, the Rossoneri are now on equal standing with all the other teams in the table.
Udinese, meanwhile, have taken a dramatic turn for the worse. The hosts have been putting up some really poor results as of late and have picked up just one point from their last five games. Overall, they have earned just one victory in their last nine games, and that was against bottom-feeders Chievo, who are still stuck on -1 point and have yet to win a game this term.
That being said, Milan have really been poor defensively. They're just one of a few teams in Europe's "Big 5" leagues to keep a clean sheet this season in league play and that could give Udinese some hope in grabbing at least a goal or two in this contest.
