Juventus will be hoping to match an impressive historical record when they take on struggling side Bologna at the Allianz Stadium on Wednesday, September 26th.

Match Preview

This weekend, Juventus will face Napoli in a mouth-watering clash for Serie A fans. However, before then, the Bianconeri will look to maintain their perfect start to the current domestic campaign as they take on a Bologna side who managed to shock Roma last weekend.

Prior to that game, the Rossoblu not only had failed to win a game, but also had failed to score a goal. Despite their struggles, Pippo Inzaghi's men managed to earn a 2-0 win over a Roma side who have been in disappointing form all season, but arguably they will face a much tougher test against the reigning Scudetto champions. For starters, Juventus have lost just one of their last 12 home Serie A games - against Napoli last season - and more important, the Bianconeri are unbeaten in their last 10 meetings against Bologna.

Complicating that fact is that Bologna have failed to win their last 12 away fixtures, and goals clearly are still a problem for Inzaghi's side, who, prior to the Roma fixture, were just one of two sides in Serie A yet to have found the back of the net this season.

With the Napoli fixture coming up, Massimiliano Allegri may opt to tweak his squad somewhat. Star signing Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to feature, as he has scored in back-to-back fixtures for his new side and now has three goals from his last two games. Paulo Dybala is again expected to be involved from the start, along with Federico Bernadeschi which thus could push Mario Mandzukic to the bench.

Elsewhere, veteran defender Andrea Barzagli is also back in the squad after an injury lay-off, whilst new goalkeeper Mattia Perin is anticipated to make his full competitive debut since arriving from Genoa. Other absentees for the hosts include Sami Khedira and Mattia De Sciglio due to injuries, and Douglas Costa will also miss this game due to his ongoing suspension.
