Chelsea’s astronomical money spending on the transfer window’s last day has got Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger completely irritated. The coach has accused Chelsea of being financial fair play traitors.
“Chelsea supported financial fair play but in the morning, they announce a £70M loss and in the afternoon, the buy £75M-worth players. Where is the logic in that?” asked the fuming Arsene Wenger while speaking to English news source The Sun.

“[Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich] has decided to put big money in, and that tells you more will come in the summer.”

Wenger is actually worried by the forces from which Arsenal could suffer because of ‘financial doping’. Chelsea have now found priceless strength through £50M signing Fernando Torres and €25M defender David Luiz.

The arrival of these two players is supposed to boost the Blues’ team spirit throughout but Coach Arsene Wenger fears that Chelsea’s “mockery of financial fair play” will turn Arsenal’s English Premier League title challenge into nothing but jokes.

In the meantime, the contest on the domestic front continues. Arsenal, who have successfully reached the Carling Cup final and the FA Cup 5th round, will face Andy Carroll-less Newcastle United this weekend. But match-day 25 of the English Premier League will be marked by Sunday's mouthwatering Chelsea vs Liverpool match.

David Luiz and Fernando Torres-inspired Chelsea are 4th in the standings with 44 points whereas Arsenal occupy the 2nd position with 49 points. Manchester United still lead the race with a 5 points clear at the top.
