This new contract looks to keep the England captain in north London until 2024.

Tottenham fans worried about losing Harry Kane to Real Madrid have had their fears calmed down, as the English striker has officially penned a new deal with the club. Spurs made this announcement on Friday with a short video clip featuring none other than the Three Lions ace.

This new contract will look to keep him in north London for another six years, which will tie him down until 2024. Furthermore, having seen his stocks risen after another impressive season in front of goal, Daniel Levy has handed the 24-year-old a huge pay raise.

His bumper new wage package will see him earn twice as much as he used to. According to the Daily Mail, not only has his previous $134,000-per-week (£100,000-a-week) been doubled, incentives and bonuses have been included which will see him pocket $20m per year – approximately $121m over the course of six years.

Having scored 30 goals last season in the English top-flight, Kane's new contract shows that Tottenham is ready to financially back their manager, who also recently penned a lengthy extension.

Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly snubbed interest from Real Madrid to continue at Tottenham, who will soon be moving into their new stadium. Dele Alli, another crucial player for Spurs, is also tipped to sign a new deal soon.

Kane, who will captain England in the upcoming World Cup, and Alli are both gearing up for the summer tournament in Russia. The duo will hope to carry their club-level chemistry over to the national team as they look to top the group ahead of Belgium.
