The diagnosis certainly explains a lot!

Two goalkeeping errors by Liverpool’s Loris Karius in the UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid sealed a third successive European trophy for the Spanish club via a 3-1 victory. Although the German shot-stopper penned an emotional apology on Instagram after the horror show, a new report by the Massachusetts General Hospital suggests that the goals conceded might not have been his fault after all.

The statement which was released with the permission of the goalkeeper stipulates that the goalkeeper had a concussion at a point in the game.

“At the time of our evaluation, Mr. Karius’s principal residual symptoms and objective signs suggested that visual-spatial dysfunction existed and likely occurred immediately following the event.

"Additional symptomatic and objectively noted areas of dysfunction also persisted. It could be possible that such deficits would affect performance.”

It is believed that the off-the-ball incident between Sergio Ramos and the Liverpool goalkeeper inside the penalty area before Benzema opened the scoring might have been the cause although UEFA cleared the defender of any wrongdoing after a review.
