The Catalan boss talked about a variety of topics, including Manchester City's transfer business and the upcoming World Cup.

In just two and a half years at the helm, Zinedine Zidane has surpassed Pep Guardiola's tally as a UEFA Champions League winner. Rather than being jealous, the Catalan boss had nothing but praise for his colleague, since he knows how hard it is to win one European trophy.

Speaking at the Johan Cruyff Foundation party, Manchester City's boss congratulated Real Madrid for their fourth European title in five years.

"It's spectacular, hats off to them. It doesn't matter if he (Zidane) deserves it or not, because winning that title is really hard to accomplish. It shows the team's quality, and all we have to do is try to avoid them from winning a fourth title in a row. He deserves to be congratulated. What Zidane has done is great," Guardiola stated.

Speaking about his team, the Catalan boss didn't speak much about the players he's ready to try and sign, but he mentioned one name that hasn't been written in his transfer targets.

"Are we signing Isco this summer? No," Guardiola emphatically stated.

Pep has many favorites to win the World Cup

The former Barcelona midfielder also shared his views on who could win the World Cup, hinting that there would be three teams he'd love to see lifting the title in July.

"I'll be happy with whichever team wins the World Cup. I have many friends in England, Germany and Spain," Guardiola concluded.
