The Paris Saint-Germain sensation bagged his first international goal in the USA’s 3-0 friendly win over Bolivia.

Tim Weah, son of former FIFA Player of the Year, AC Milan legend, and current Liberia president George Weah, is slowly announcing his presence on the world football stage with a series of impressive performances in recent times. The 18-year-old forward scored his first-ever goal in his first debut for the US Men’s National Team in Monday’s friendly encounter with Bolivia, sealing a 3-0 win for the Stars and Stripes.

He, as a result, became the fourth youngest player to score an international goal for the North American side. Tim Weah’s goal came after debutant Josh Sargent and Walter Zimmer had put the host ahead in the game played at Chester, Pennsylvania.

It’s been a rapid rise for the New York native who debuted for PSG in a Ligue 1 fixture against Troyes on March 3, 2018 and was subsequently awarded a national team call-up by the USMNT in a friendly against Paraguay a few weeks later. His goal tally for the senior national team now stands at one in just two caps.
