Playing a UEFA Champions League final is special, but for one of Liverpool's strikers, it will be the experience of a lifetime.
Senegalese striker Sadio Mane, one of the main reasons why Liverpool reached this stage of the tournament, believes that his hometown of Bambali will stop all their activities in order to watch the UEFA Champions League final.
In order to make sure everyone roots for his side, he decided to buy and send 300 Liverpool jerseys for fans in his hometown, so they have no excuses on showing the Reds their support.
"There are 2,000 people in the village. I bought 300 Liverpool jerseys to send to the people there, so they can wear them to watch the final. My family still live in the village, my mom and my uncle. They are all going to be watching," Mane stated.
The 26-year-old player referred to this game as a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and they have to take full advantage of it in order to add to Liverpool's history.
"I am just thinking it is incredible, not about the pressure. This kind of game does not happen all the time. It is one of the most important of a career. It will not be easy,"the player added.
The Senegalese footballer promised he will visit his village after the 2018 World Cup, hoping he has a trophy to show off when he arrives there.
"I will be going back in the summer after the World Cup. Hopefully, I will be showing everyone my medal," Mané concluded.
