Barcelona lost a game for the first time in La Liga this season! The Catalans perfect record dream and their quest to be labeled as invincibles were halted by a bullish Levante side when they visited the Ciutat de Valencia on Sunday.

In the absence of the talismanic Lionel Messi and defensive powerhouse Samuel Umtiti, Ernesto Valverde’s men conceded five goals before the honor mark on their way to defeat. There was, however, a spark in the gloomy night as winter signing, Philippe Coutinho, grabbed a hat-trick to ease the misery of the stunned league champions.

The quest for another miraculous comeback was nearly achieved after Luis Suarez took the game to 5-4 from the penalty spot but that was the farthest the Blaugrana could go as far as the damage control was concerned. The defeat was Barcelona’s first since losing to Malaga back in April 2017.
