The Citizens have claimed another one of Chelsea’s record with their second goal against Brighton on Tuesday.

Manchester City has now become the only team to have scored the most goals in a single league season. Prior to kick-off, Pep Guardiola’s men were a goal short of Chelsea’s 103 goal tally recorded in the 2009/2010 season under Carlo Ancelotti.

However, a 16th-minute strike by Danilo and Bernado Silva’s 34th-minute finish took the Manchester club right past the figure of former Premier League champions. This happened after Ulloa had leveled the scoring for Brighton 14 minutes earlier.

Man City's Fernandinho added a third in the 72nd minute to extend the record to 105 for the all-conquering side in this season’s English Premier League campaign. The league winners will have another chance to extend the record when they feature against relegation-threatened Southampton in the last matchday.
