James Milner was on the end of an unfortunate situation despite Sadio Mane opening for Liverpool inside the Stadio Olimpico. A dangerous loose ball was ballooned out of Red’s penalty area by Dejan Lovren but ended up hitting the Englishman in the face.

As if the agony that comes with being hit wasn’t enough, the ball ended up getting past a stationary Loris Karius in Liverpool’s goal to bring the game to parity. Milner, whose 9 assists in this season’s competition broke the record of the player with the most in the history of the Champions League, was subsequently trolled hard by fans on social media for his “generosity”.
