The Brazilian left back was involved in a controversial call during the dying moments of the first half against Die Roten.

Real Madrid's left back came out and spilled the beans on that controversial play in the first half, where Bayern Munich players and fans demanded a penalty kick.

Speaking in the post-match mixed zone, Marcelo admitted that the ball touched his hand when he tried to stop a cross by Joshua Kimmich, while stating that it was up to the ref to make the call if he had seen it.

Below, you'll find Marcelo's interview, along with the translation for both the journalist and the footballer.

Journalist: "The ball seemed to hit your left hand, or was it just me?"

Marcelo: "Yes, it hit my hand"

J: "So, the ref should have awarded them a penalty?"

M: "Well, if it hit my hand, I'd say so. But you guys know that I don't talk about the referees. Many times, refs have ruled against us, and now, I can't come here and talk about his performance again, because when they rule against us I dont' talk about it, you know? I imagined you'd ask me that..."

J: "Is that a rule from the Rio de Janeiro beach (where Marcelo began to play football)?"

M: Well, it is what it is. It was difficult for the ref, because there were many players blocking his view, but if I came here to tell you that the ball didn't touch my hand, I'd be lying to you."
