Chelsea Transfer News: Atletico Expose Chelsea But Blues Deny Bidding
Chelsea’s bidding fiasco for Atletico Madrid’s Sergio Aguero and Diego Godin is Wednesday’s main topic in transfer news. Interestingly, the Blues have denied even presenting a mega deal to Atletico.

Sergio Aguero and Godin are at the center of a funny transfer story involving Chelsea.
It may seem hard to degrade transfer reports from a reputable source such as The Sun onto transfer rumours – unless Chelsea are suggesting that a certain Miguel Angel Gil Marin is a pure liar. In a blunt statement while talking to The Sun, the Atletico Madrid general director exposed the Blues by declaring:
“This very week, Chelsea were giving me £52M for him [Sergio Aguero] and Godin. And I told them exactly the same thing [as I told Real Madrid with a ‘no’].
“I’m not going to negotiate the sale of Aguero.”
It didn’t take long for Chelsea to reply to these claims. According to the Blues, who also denied making any bid for Everton’s Steven Pienaar, the £52M transfer bid story contains absolutely no truth. A spokesman was quoted as saying by Press Association Sport:
“We never comment on transfer speculation – no matter how wild it is.”
So who is to blame for this “wild” transfer news that make Chelsea look like the latest big losers this month?
