Despite being unsettled in Paris, his countryman tips him to remain there next season.

Despite having only joined PSG last summer, Neymar is constantly linked with a move to Real Madrid. This is not shocking, as he enjoys a strained relationship with the team and the fans.

A switch to Los Blancos would see him return to a top club and would boost his odds of winning a Ballon d’Or, but according to Ronaldo, that transfer stands no chance of happening this summer. Rumors claim the defending Champions League holder is raising funds for what would be another record transfer, but the Brazilian icon does not see the former Santos sensation at the Bernabeu next season.

Ronaldo knows very well what it is like to play at both Camp Nou and Santiago Bernabeu, with a spell at Inter Milan separate his time with Barcelona and the Madri giant. Nonetheless, the 2002 World Cup winner argues that it is too soon for Neymar to be thinking of leaving Ligue 1.

"I've heard a lot about Neymar and Real Madrid but I really think it's very difficult to sign him," the retired Brazilian told Cadena SER's El Larguero (as per Marca).

"PSG paid a lot of money for him, I think it's a very complicated deal for Real Madrid to one day sign Neymar. Right now I think it's impossible.

"Maybe in a few years, he will still be young but now I think it is impossible.

"I think he is doing well and he likes Paris, he wanted a change and he knew everything that was going to happen."

There have been claims that Real Madrid’s realistic target for landing the 26-year-old is the summer of 2019. Regardless, the form of Benzema and Bale has forced Perez to search for new goalscorers.

While Cristiano continues to find the back of the net for fun, the same cannot be said for his French and Welsh team-mates. With both being benched for the first-leg trip to Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-final, their days with the club appear numbered.

One of two, or –very unlikely – both of them, could return to the lineup for Tuesday’s second-leg clash against the Bavarians. Nonetheless, Neymar would probably remain a target even if the two struggling Real Madrid aces were to miraculously return to their best.
