After two straight seasons without making it to the UCL's semi-finals, Barcelona has slided away from the podium.

The recent results in European tournaments produced a major development in the annual UEFA club rankings published today, as Barcelona is no longer included in the Top 3 teams in the continent.

Los Blaugranas have failed to reach the finals of the UEFA Champions League since their successful 2014-15 win, which has made way for Real Madrid's successful stint in the competition, winning back-to-back trophies for the first time since the current format has been used.

This, and the rise of other clubs such as Bayern Munich and Atlético Madrid, has come together to see Barcelona fall in this ranking.

In fact, Atlético climbed to the second place of this ranking due to their recent performance in the UEFA Europa League semi-finals and last year's run in the UEFA Champions League, with Bayern holding on to the 3rd place.

Here are the Top 10 teams according to UEFA's coefficient.

1. Real Madrid - 158,000 pts.

2. Atlético Madrid - 135,000 pts.

3. Bayern Munich - 134,000 pts.

4. Barcelona - 132,000 pts.

5. Juventus - 126,000 pts.
