Andres Iniesta’s decision to leave Barcelona at the end of this campaign remains big news in the world of football. The Spanish icon announced on Friday that this will be his final season at Camp Nou, calling an end to illustrious career with the club that spanned 16 seasons.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner was a surprise absentee from the playmaker’s press conference. The entire Catalan squad was present to hear the tearful Spaniard announce his upcoming exit except for Messi and Suarez.
The league leader stated that the two South American stars were no-shows due to private affairs they had to deal with. La Pulga reportedly was not able to attend the press conference as he had an appointment to renew his and his family's passports that same day.
As for Andres, the beloved Barcelona captain is likely to join the Chinese Super League. The midfielder ruled out joining another European club as he did not want to face the Catalan giant, all but paving the way for his move to the Far East.
