Once again, Cristiano Ronaldo emerged as Real Madrid's savior, as the Portuguese striker scored a late goal against Athletic Club tonight.
Real Madrid's top scorer sent the ball into the back of the net thanks to a cheeky back heel flick as time expired, keeping Los Blancos' difference over Valencia at third place. His goal capped a good effort by the Spanish giants, who had fallen behind due to a great finish by Iñaki Williams.
With tonight's goal, CR7 matched his best goalscoring streak, which has extended to twelve games. The last time he was able to accomplish such a feat came four years ago.
Cristiano Ronaldo equals his career record of scoring in 12 successive apps.
