Los Blaugranas prevailed against a tough opponent at Balaídos even after Sergi Roberto's red card.

It may not have been pretty, but Barcelona got the job done at Balaídos and added another milestone to their impressive 2017-18 season.

The current La Liga leaders weren't able to win tonight's match against Celta, but kept their unbeaten streak in La Liga unscathed. Because of that fact, Barcelona now owns the single-season record for most games unbeaten since the start of any campaign.

The previous record was owned by Real Sociedad, who went unbeaten for 32 games during the 1979-80 season. Today, Barcelona broke the tie between both historic sides.

Barcelona now faces the challenge of finishing the 2017-18 season unbeaten. Los Blaugranas have five games left in the season, including the second El Clásico of the year .
