The Swedish ace scored a brace during his first 20 minutes in the North American top flight, but there's more behind his 50+ yard goal.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has treated fans with all sorts of great goals throughout his career, but Saturday's goal may have been caused by an off-the-pitch situation.

The Swedish ace made an epic introduction to the MLS, as he scored a game-winning brace for Los Angeles Galaxy in their first-ever game against local rivals Los Angeles FC. What stands out the most is that Ibrahimovic's only shots on goal ended finding the back of the net

Here's his first goal in the MLS, in case you missed it.

More than a day after his first goals in the North American league, Zlatan came clean about why he chose to take that long-range shot to score, and the answer couldn't be more "Zlatan-esque".

"I was struggling to catch my breath. I made my first run at the ball and had to take deep breaths to recover, then, when the second ball came to me I said to myself: 'I'm taking the shot from here, I'm not running anymore,'" Zlatan stated.

Even if he had been match-fit for quite some time, Ibrahimovic found it hard to play with such weather conditions.

"It felt like playing 40 games in the first 20 minutes. It was a combination of things, jet lag mostly, not having played a game in a while...but people started shouting 'We want Zlatan', and I gave them Zlatan," the player concluded.

Ibrahimovic will have the chance to adapt better to his new city, as the Swedish ace is set to play LA Galaxy's next game against Sporting KC until April 8.
