The veteran Bayern Munich manager is not having any of the mainstream narratives.

Recent reports have indicated that Robert Lewandowski could make a switch to Spain come this summer’s transfer window. Some news outlets have even gone to the extent to indicate that Bayern Munich is interested in making James Rodriguez’s loan move to Germany permanent and, as such, could use the Polish striker as bait to land the Colombian from Real Madrid.

However, the current manager of the pair has denied claims of any such move happening soon.

"[Chairman] Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has already said it: with Robert, Real Madrid have no chance at all," Heynckes said in his presser ahead of the Champions League quarter-final first leg with Sevilla.

On the subject of James, he declared:

"Of course, I knew him [James] before he came to Bayern.

"When I took over the team in the autumn, he wasn't physically fit. He is stronger physically now, he's a completely different player.

"He has integrated into the group and he feels very good. He'll definitely play at Bayern in the coming season but Bayern must decide what happens beyond that."
