The Spaniard stole the show in the 6-1 win over Argentina, scoring a hat-trick, but let out his frustration over his lack of playing time at his club.

On Tuesday, Isco showed once again that he is capable of anything. The Spanish playmaker put in a superb performance in the 6-1 win over Argentina, scoring a hat-trick.

While he thrives with the national side, he endures the exact opposite when with Real Madrid. The former Malaga ace continues in his struggles to land a starting eleven spot.

Life under Zinedine Zidane has proven difficult this season, in particular. Isco constantly finds himself on the bench and opened up about his grievances after the huge victory.

"In Madrid, I don't have the confidence a player needs, " Isco said in an interview, as per Marca.

"The matches with the national team give me life. Here, I have the confidence of the coach.

"I want to show that I'm a good player. Lopetegui shows me confidence with the minutes he gives me.

"Maybe I'm the problem in Madrid. I don't know how to win Zidane's confidence."

The Spaniard’s statement about life at Santiago Bernabeu is definitely worrying. It is not common to see a player almost admit defeat in his fight to return to the starting lineup.

This could mean the end is near. The 25-year-old could become a central figure in Zidane’s lineup in the near future, but his recent comments suggest that the offer of more playing time elsewhere could easily lure him away from Real Madrid.
