The future of France is in safe hands!

Kylian Mbappe scored twice as France cruised to a 3-1 victory over Russia inside the St. Petersburg Stadium.  The PSG sensation made no error of a delightful pass from Paul Pogba for his first and followed up with his second via a Matuidi assist.

Prior to that, Pogba took Les Bleus to two goals up via a thunderbolt free-kick before Smolov pulled one back for the host. Subsequently, Mbappe became the youngest player ever to have scored a brace in any game for France since 1933. With Didier Deschamps resting the big guns Olivier Giroud and Antoine Griezmann, the mantle fell on the likes of Dembele and Martial.

It is safe to say that the outcome of the game tells the whole story as the youngsters unfalteringly shone throughout. Speaking after the game, Kylian Mbappe shrugged off his milestone while highlighting the telepathy among himself, Dembele and Martial.

"I'm happy, the most important thing was to win," the forward said after the match according to the Ligue 1’s official website.

"It's always good to beat records, but I don't go looking for that.

"I played with players it's easy to link up with, it's simple to play with Ousmane and Anthony. We have to work on our understanding, but I think it was a good start."
