Most reports link him with a move to Real Madrid while some claim he is eager to return to Barcelona.

Rumors linking Neymar with a PSG exit continues to make the headlines. Despite making his record-breaking switch to Ligue 1 only last summer, the Brazilian is reportedly ready to leave France for another challenge.

Real Madrid is tipped as the club to land the Selecao ace next, as fresh new blood is needed at Santiago Bernabeu to rejuvenate Zidane’s crew. A return to Barcelona has only been mentioned, as the 26-year-old still enjoys a close relationship with his former team-mates.

Regardless of the conflicting rumors, the consensus is that Neymar’s days at Parc des Princes are numbered. A report by UOL Esporte has now attempted to reveal five reasons behind the world’s most expensive player wanting out.

The most obvious one is the quality of Ligue 1. The attacker reportedly sees the French top-flight as a level below La Liga and the Premier League. He feels he must succeed in a top competition if he wishes to achieve his dream of winning the Ballon d’Or.

The former Santos ace is also fouled more times in France than he was accustomed to in Spain – he receives 5.7 fouls per game now compared to 3.5 in Spain. This harsh treatment is believed to be another reason.

Neymar is also reportedly unhappy with the referees in France, as he feels they do not protect him enough. Furthermore, according to UOL Esporte, the PSG superstar is still bitter over being sent off in Le Classique in the 2-2 draw with Marseille back in October.

The South American sensation is currently sidelined after breaking his fifth metatarsal. While the player might not blame his current injury on the bad pitches, he believes the poor quality of the playing surfaces makes it easier for him to get hurt.

Lastly, Neymar is reportedly not happy with traveling to away games by bus and having team gatherings before home games. These are two practices done by Les Parisiens.

The destination of the Samba ace, who will miss Sunday’s trip to Nice in the league due to his long-term injury, remains unclear. Nonetheless, he appears more and more likely to end his time with PSG very soon.
