On Friday, the Champions League draw was held. With the round of 16 coming to an end, the remaining eight teams found out their fate in the quarter-final stage.
Spanish league leader Barcelona dodged the bigger clubs and got Roma in the last eight. Elsewhere, Juventus was paired against Real Madrid while Liverpool drew fellow Premier League side Man City.
Sevilla, who was on cloud nine after eliminating Man United from the tournament, got Bayern Munich in the quarter-final. The outcome of this draw led to the Red Devils being trolled on social media.
Mourinho’s side was the punchline of several jokes after crashing out courtesy of a 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford. There were many who could not help but laugh at the Red Devils’ absence from the last eight.
Despite spending lavishly, the Special One was unable to guide his expensive squad past the round of 16. After seeing Sevilla’s opponent, some believe the Manchester giant dodged a bullet.
Facing Bayern Munich in the quarter-final could end in an embarrassing defeat for Man United. As a result, some pointed out that Mourinho accomplished something beneficial by crashing out in the first knockout stage. Check out the best tweets below.

Lukaku and Co can now solely focus on the FA Cup. The Premier League title is out of their reach, but they could win silverware at Wembley later this season. First, though, they must beat Brighton and Hove Albion in the quarter-final.
